Working mostly in TV and Film Production along with Journalism after 2 years of Pre-Law while in school, Daryl was smitten by the craft of Acting while taking a basic acting fundamentals class in an effort to become a better Director.

Life, love, and the pursuit of a stable future took hold shortly after graduation. After a 15-year stint in the Financial Services, Luxury Retail, and High Tech industries, which included a 4-year marriage, Daryl secured his first agency representation with Stars, the Agency, out of San Francisco, California in March of 2004. Daryl was finally pursuing his dream! Of course, it only took 3 attempts and two years of honing his skills on stage, before the agency "heard" something in Daryl.
He was quickly blessed with numerous opportunities in the Commercial VO market which included recurring Voice Over roles for the GMC brand, "An American Revolution" campaign. Continuing with his love of theatre and a thirst to learn more about the craft, Daryl went on to be a part of over 30 full-length live theatre shows, most of which took place from 2003-2008 and 2012-2014.
Some other highlights of his artistic journey include a starring role in a Regional Comcast/Xfinity commercial, principal work as the husband on a national Google Assist commercial, and looping opportunities on a national Capital One commercial.

In 2008 after returning from France and the Sonny’s Blues Tour, Daryl moved to Los Angeles where he appeared as a principal in festival award-winning short feature films, "Meipporul", directed by Natty Kumar, and "Everyday Black Man", directed by Carmen Madden. He worked many times as a Day Player and was featured in numerous TV shows including hits like "Private Practice", "Medium", "Community", "True Blood", "Greek", "Big Time Rush", and "Grey's Anatomy".

After relocating back to the Bay Area in 2014 for a Teaching Artist position, Daryl found himself suddenly in the "performance" of a lifetime! He was hit with a life threatening sudden illness due to infection and complications, which resulted in two months in a rehabilitation center learning how to walk all over again!
After his release from the hospital, Daryl had some opportunities in Voice Over while re-entering the full time employment world of Luxury Retail Management and College Admissions Counseling, still continuing to cultivate acting opportunities in Film, TV, and Industrials when scheduling permitted.

In 2019, Daryl was able to once again break away from the 9 to 5 scene and direct his efforts 100% of the time to his Acting/VO craft with the security of being offered the role of the voice of the now award winning "Ask" campaign for the Northern California Honda Dealers Association by Pinnacle Advertising.
